A relic construct from a long-forgotten war, engineered to wade through battlefields behind heavy armor plating while its flails shatter enemies. Rare today, surviving golems are usually repurposed as tomb guardians standing vigil over ancient kings, or as tireless servants for wizards and nobles who value their durability over their conversation.
Signature abilities: Whirling Flails (Recharge 5–6) — a sweeping area attack hitting every creature within 10 feet — backed by Magic Resistance, magical weapon attacks, and immunity to any spell that would alter its form.

Ravenquill Bestiary #001 — Kareth Dread CR 6 · Nocturnal Guardian Spirit
Also known as "Totem-Back" or "The Thing from the Dust" — a hulking, stone-skinned monstrosity said to be a child once cursed by tribal Stone Shamans for defying their laws, sealed into stone to carry the burden of disobedience forever. It stalks crossroads and open land only at night, hunting those who've strayed from where they're meant to be — and carves their sins into a new totem on its back every time it's seen.
Signature ability: Totem-Back (Soul Burden) — carries multiple stone totems, each granting bonus AC and temporary HP, which players can target and destroy individually to weaken it mid-fight.
VAELIS THORSHIK
Ravenquill Bestiary #001 — Kareth Dread CR 6 · Nocturnal Guardian Spirit
A dark elf ranger exiled from Menzoberranzan for an act of mercy her people called treason. Vaelis fights from the shadows, striking with poisoned arrows before her target ever hears the bowstring.
Signature ability: Shadow Step — repositions between areas of shadow before attacking, constantly changing angles in combat.
